Privacy Policy for Reflective

Effective Date: May 13, 2025

Welcome to Reflective ("us", "we", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

Information We Collect

Anonymous Usage Statistics and Crash Data

To improve the features and performance of our App, and to detect and fix crashes, we collect anonymous, aggregated statistics. This data does not personally identify you. The information collected may include:

We use Firebase (Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics) to collect and analyze this data. Firebase has its own privacy policy, which you can review.

Journal Entries

Our App allows you to create and store journal entries. You have control over where your journal entries are stored:

  1. Subscription Service: If you choose to subscribe to our service, your journal entries, which may include text, locations, images, and associated time/date information, will be stored in Firestore (a Google Cloud service). We take measures to protect this data, including encryption at rest and in transit.
  2. User's Selected Cloud Service: You can choose to store your journal entries in your personal cloud storage account (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox). In this case, your data is subject to the privacy policy and terms of service of your chosen cloud provider. The App may require access to your cloud service to store and retrieve your entries. The App encrypts any access tokens it stores for these third-party services. We do not access your journal entries stored in your personal cloud service for any purpose other than providing the journaling functionality within the App.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in the following ways:

Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your data.

If you are using our subscription service, you can typically manage or delete your journal entries through the App. If you wish to delete your account and associated data from our servers, please contact us at support@justwriteapps.com.

If you are storing data in your own cloud service, you manage your data directly through that service.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or a higher age threshold if required by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
